OVERVIEW

A variety of catechetical techniques is often the difference between an average lesson and a

great one. In general, the catechetical setting requires a greater variety of techniques than a

regular school class. This topic explores some of the most proven effective teaching

techniques.

OBJECTIVES

1. To practice creative variations of the lesson process.

2. To increase student participation by finding effective ways to moderate discussions.

3. To use common lesson techniques as a way to build a unique catechetical style.

AIMS

1. The participants will be able to explain ways to incorporate creative teaching techniques into

the catechetical process.

2. The participants will be able to introduce activities to lessons based on given objectives and

aims.

3. The participants will be able to express their understanding of various types of discussion

questions by utilizing them in role-playing.

Use a variety of materials and techniques to present the points of content and to engage the

participants in the learning activity.

stated in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
